For stylists, massage therapists and other salon professionals, having a fast reference available to customers seeking an appointment, is an essential business tool. One of the most important ways customers can stay in contact with their salons is through the use of business cards. Able to be kept in wallets and used to schedule regular or spur-of-the-moment appointments, salon business cards can either be used by the salon as a whole, or distributed by individual stylists. When ordering business cards for the first time, many stylists are unsure what should be in a salon business cards.
Since cards are used as reference tools, listing the salon’s name and address are important. Telephone numbers are a must and if businesses have more than one telephone number, it is suggested that at least two numbers be listed, in case one is busy. If stylists are able to schedule appointments by email, listing the salon’s email address is also advisable.
Daily hours of operation must also be specified. Stylists, choosing to distribute their own cards, can list their own hours of operation. Additionally, if emergency or off-hour appointments are able to be accommodated, extended hours with advanced notification guidelines, should also be mentioned.
Finally, salons using a group business card, can also list all salon services on their business cards. This will help increase sales by informing customers about services they may or may not have known existed.
